Professor Pikay Richardson
Senior Fellow, Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester
Prof. Pikay Richardson is a seasoned international world-class management development educator, consultant and business school professor. He is currently a visiting senior fellow at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany. Previously, he has held full-time faculty positions at the Manchester Business School, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ, USA, where he was research professor and academic director for executive programmes. As Director of the Manchester Business School’s India Research and Development Unit for many years, Prof. Richardson undertook many consulting assignments in the India sub-continent for the University of Manchester, the UK, India and Bangladeshi Government. For ten years, he was an economic and management development consultant for the (ODA). As Director of the Indian Railways Senior Management Programme, he was instrumental in the training of senior managers of Indian Railways, a programme that contributed in no small way in making Indian the Railways becoming eventually financially self-sufficient.
Professor Tom Thomas
DEAN, Southampton Business School
Tom Thomas has significant academic and management experience in the higher education and professional education sector. As Dean of Southampton Business School he managed a faculty of over 300 staff (34,000 students) and gained specific experience in areas such as governance, risk management and equal opportunities. Following this role, he was appointed as Chief Executive for the Institute of Commercial Management – a large professional examination board. Tom founded a new awarding body (BMEC- Business Management Education Centre) offering vocational undergraduate and postgraduate programmes around the world. He is currently chairman of this awarding body. Tom has over 50 publications in areas such as information technology, business analysis and education. Tom has a lifelong commitment to education and he believes that fairness, respect and compassion are important traits in his dealings with others. Currently Tom serves as the dean of Accra Business School.
